Reduction, lightness, generous dimensions and flush-mounted properties are fundamental topics in modern architecture. Against this background, new solutions have also been required for windows and glazing for some years now: no visible frames or large open areas that connect the living space with the outside space.
With straight-lined, partially flush-mounted profiles, three-sided frameless installation, the all-glass corner, large-sized fixed glazings and the HS 330 timber/aluminium lift and slide door from Internorm, you can realise architectural window solutions.
Internorm offers its own manufacturing concept for the implementation of the special wishes and requirements of architects and building owners: STUDIO XL opens up completely new possibilities for the implementation of individual architectural solutions and generous dimensions. STUDIO XL allows large-scale elements up to a width of 12 m and a glass area of 17 m2, possibly also in combination with the HS 330 timber/aluminium lift and slide door.

Produced individually
For architects, standard products do not always offer satisfactory solutions for the issues referred to above. Internorm has therefore made it its goal to implement customers' wishes and realise individual, technically perfect solutions.
Individual solutions also require new methods in production. Therefore, since March 2013, STUDIO XL has been produced in "cellular" manufacturing — i.e. not in standard production — in the Internorm plant in Lannach. With the new system, small series can be produced precisely to the wishes and requirements of architects and building owners. Elements can be significantly larger than in the standard and can be combined with one another to achieve the desired solution, for example a combination of lift and slide doors with multiple fixed glazings and multiple glass corners. The logistics is also set up for XL formats: There is a separate dispatch logistics unit with its own construction site coordinator and the relevant truck with a crane and fitting equipment.
Some special production steps are performed manually by specially trained employees. Thanks to the nature of the manufacture of STUDIO XL, there are now almost no limits to modern glass architecture.
